Martha Karua To Form New Political Party after Meeting Rigathi Gachagua

Narc Kenya party leader Martha Karua has revealed plans to launch a new political outfit with which she will vie for the presidency in 2027.
Karua said the party, dubbed People's Liberation Party (PLP), will be launched in February. She revealed on Saturday, January 25, when she hosted former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua and his entourage at her native home in Kirinyaga. Karua said the plan to establish the new party started in May 2024 in the Office of the Registrar of Political Parties (ORPP) and is now nearing the final stages.

Karua sent a rapprochement appeal to Gachagua, asking him to join forces with her, even if with a different political, to form a formidable side that would unseat Ruto.
