Construction of the 750-kilometer Isiolo-Mandera Highway has begun, ending decades of delays. The Sh100 billion project is split into 11 sections and awarded to seven contractors for completion within two years.

The highway links Isiolo, Kula Mawe, Modogashe, Samatar, Wajir, Tarbaj, Kotulo, Kobo, Elwak, Garre, Rhamu, and Mandera, and is set to transform the northern economy and enhance security.

Deputy President Kithure Kindiki inspects the construction, reaffirming the government’s commitment to the project.
